About Us
Circuit Riders, LLC is a two-member partnership owned and operated by Don and Mary Ecsedy, helped by a team of talented software engineers, graphic designers, and technical writers. We originally started the business while we were living in Moab, Utah in 2004 (it's a long story), but the business outgrew Moab and we moved back to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in January 2008.
Circuit Riders Partners
Mary is the company's Managing Partner and project director. She is an information specialist with over 16 years of complete life-cycle software development in a wide variety of industries. Her experience includes library science, technical writing, business and systems analysis and design, website development, and business website consulting. A strong narrative writer, Mary has written and illustrated numerous website content articles on a broad range of topics for organic search engine ranking on our own websites and our clients'.
Don's main role is Continuity. He is also our system administrator, and general business partner. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry as an information storage and retrieval specialist responsible for the conversion of paper records and proprietary databases for online access on corporate intranets. He is also an online research expert. Both Don and Mary are former law librarians, a profession renowned for its attention to accuracy, usablity, and availability of information.
Mary and Don first met on Usenet in 1994, in the last days of the Internet before the World Wide Web. No longer 1500 miles apart, they now work in adjoining offices - but still communicate in IRC with the rest of the devel team during the workday.
Circuit Riders Development Team
We have worked with a geographically distributed team of independent professionals on an as-needed basis on projects since the mid-90's. They are all highly experienced and a joy to work with. All are among the top-ranking talent within their respective fields. We have developed efficient working styles and processes together over the years, and we pass the resulting savings on to our clients.
Craig Brozefsky
Craig Brozefsky is our Technical Director, with over 12 years experience building sophisticated web applications for universities and financial institutions around the world. He is currently working with Matasano Security located in Chicago. He also builds easy-to-maintain websites for artists and social services organizations.
Matt Hucke
We have known and worked with Matt since the mid-1990's. Like Craig, Matt is another brilliant hacker/programmer who works on website and web-based application development. He runs his own web hosting and network consulting company, and hosts his clients there for the technical convenience, security, and the fun of it. See www.cynico.net for more information.

Core Expertise
Circuit Riders' core expertise is a unique blend of information design, complete life-cycle technical development, and documentation and training. We create practical, maintainable websites with clean, straightforward code. As former librarians and technical writers we specialize in organic search engine optimization and marketing. We practice a development ethic of educating our clients, many of whom are very technical but lacking in website experience. We provide custom documentation, training, and consulting on many of our projects.
Our basic method is to work in rational phases, beginning with a solid technical foundation that will support the website – and your business, through time. Whether your project is a brochure website, a large online store, or an SEO audit, each phase results in a complete and usable website, workflow process, report, etc. We rarely ask clients to commit to more than one phase at a time, further reducing risk. The project can therefore stand on its own, but it can also become the starting point for the next phase. In this way we develop complexity in manageable steps. Our method ensures that your project is fully integrated with your business goals, workflow processes, and schedules.
